S&E contest: Speed Racer - assembly

Today, Carter put together his latest version.
First, some paperwork:
1) a plan or drawing;
2) a list of what materials he needed;
3) a list of how he was going to build it.

Get the materials together:
Straighten the extender on the mouse trap:

Glue the basswood frame together: The hardest part- waiting for the glue to dry!

Next- drill pilot holes for the four eyelets:

Assemble the wheels: Attach the lever arm to the spring,

and the line to the lever arm:

Trim the line at the rear axle: Ready for the first trial run:
